Two weeks ahead of schedule, the cast is removed! X-rays and evaluation confirm that her break has healed, and palpation of the joint does not show luxation at present. We will have to go back in two weeks for a re-evaluation, but so far, it looks as if our Supreme Care regimen has worked beyond measure! The vet is stunned! Lux still does not use the leg much, but she will drop her leg down and put weight on it as she feels ready to. We have already strolled about in the rain (seeing as that is the only weather we have this summer in New England)

I almost feel as if I should have a tattoo of this put ON MY ASS. Yesterday we had a tornado watch for our state, as there had been a funnel cloud sighted in the Western parts. Last week we registered a 5 inch rain and who the hell knows what the total is for this week alone. All I know is that much of my world looks like THIS:

I fully expect Pappa Smurf to emerge from his mushroom village any time now. Maybe he would like to go out on a date. You know, that social THING I have not had since February? Hell, at this point I would go out with Smurfette, though blondes are not really my favorite. I can't afford to be shallow. She always seemed, um, perky...
