Notes to Self: vol. one

Things the Holiday Season has taught me this year:

Life is like your refrigerator. If you leave things unattended, they turn on you. If you leave that carcass in there too long, you won't even be able to make a sustaining broth from the remains of what was once a feast.

Do your inventory often. Reach inside yourself and find things that are past the date of freshness and give them a good sniff. Toss out what does not nourish you.

The green, fresh, alive stuff? It needs special care. Check on it often. Dry it off and put it back into Crisp Mode.

Oh, and wipe off your shelves, too. Sometimes there is Sticky Old Stuff that is clinging on like a barnacle. You know, the Jam of Life.
